A new cause of male infertility is revealed

It just happened so, that it’s woman, who is to be blame for the absence of children in family. However, in about 40% of cases a male factor occurs.

Causes of male infertility are numerous. American scientists from the Brown University, have probably discovered another one. The study of 103 young men showed a direct relationship between the length of spermatozoids and their motility.

Causes of male infertility are numerous. American scientists from the Brown University, have probably discovered another one. The study of 103 young men showed a direct relationship between the length of spermatozoids and their motility. 30 spermatozoids were taken from every sample of ejaculate. The researchers measured the length of the head, of the middle section and of the tail of each. It was found that mobility of spermatozoids is high, when they are of the same length, what ensures successful fertilization.

The leader of the research Professor Jim Mossman believes that "the appearance of spermatozoids of different length in the ejaculate may indicate testicles dysfunction."

It is quite probable that this discovery will accelerate the process of diagnosing problems with conception.
